Available App Shortcuts
- Add from Camera — Start item capture with the camera.
- Add Item — Begin a new inventory item.
- Find Items — Search the inventory using Siri or Shortcuts.
- Scan Box QR — Open the Box QR scanner.
- Add from Photo — Choose an existing photo for a new item.
- Open Item — Choose and open an inventory item.
- Show All Inventory — Open the inventory across homes.
- Export Archive — Create a portable MovingBox inventory archive.
Use a Shortcut
Open Apple’s Shortcuts app, search for MovingBox, and add an action to a shortcut. MovingBox’s suggested actions may also appear in Spotlight, Siri suggestions, the Action button, widgets, or other places where iOS supports App Shortcuts. You can also ask Siri using the title of an available action, such as “Find items in MovingBox” or “Scan a box QR code in MovingBox.”Siri may ask you to choose an item or provide a search term before opening MovingBox.
Find Items in Spotlight
MovingBox can make inventory items available to Spotlight. Search by item name, then select a result to open it in MovingBox.Control System Visibility
Go to Settings → Siri and Spotlight in MovingBox to control whether item photos can appear in Spotlight, whether descriptions, notes, and serial numbers can help Siri and Shortcuts find an item, and whether Siri and Shortcuts can summarize recorded inventory and replacement values.Troubleshooting
If MovingBox actions or results do not appear:- Open MovingBox once after installing or updating.
- Confirm Siri and Search are enabled for MovingBox in iOS Settings.
- Confirm the relevant options under MovingBox’s Siri and Spotlight settings.
- Create or edit an item, then allow iOS time to refresh its index.
- Restart MovingBox and Shortcuts if an older action list remains cached.
