Locations allow you to track where your items are stored in your home or other properties.Creating Locations

Access Locations
Navigate to the Locations section using the app’s streamlined navigation

Add New Location
Tap the ”+” button in the top-right corner

Enter Location Details
- Name your location (e.g., “Living Room”, “Kitchen”, “Storage Unit”)
- Optionally add a description
- You can also add a photo of the location

Save Location
Tap “Save” to create the location
Assigning Items to Locations

Method 1: During Item Creation
When adding a new item, select the appropriate location before saving

Method 2: From Item Details
- Open an existing item
- Tap “Edit”
- Tap the “Location” field
- Select the desired location
- Tap “Save”

Method 3: Create Item Within Location
- Navigate to the Locations tab and select a location
- Tap the ”+” button in the top right corner
- The “Location” field should automatically contain the location selected in step 1
Labels
Labels provide the primary way to categorize your items in MovingBox. Each item can have one label assigned to it.About Labels
Each label in MovingBox consists of:- A name (e.g., “Electronics”, “Furniture”, “Valuable”)
- A color for visual identification
- An emoji that represents the label’s purpose
Creating Labels

- Navigate to Settings using the app’s navigation
- Select “Label Settings” from the menu

Add New Label
Tap the ”+” button to create a new label

- Enter a name for your label
- Select a color for visual identification
- Choose an emoji that represents the label’s purpose

Save
Tap “Save” to create the label

Item Categories
Create labels for item types like “Electronics,” “Furniture,” or “Clothing”
Value Indicators
Use labels like “Valuable,” “Moderate Value,” or “Insured”
Ownership
Labels such as “John’s,” “Mary’s,” or “Shared” to track item ownership
Condition
Mark items as “New,” “Good Condition,” or “Needs Repair”
Applying a Label to an Item

Item Labeling
- Open an item in edit mode
- Tap the “Label” field
- Select one label from the list
- Tap “Save”
Each item can have only one label. If you assign a new label to an item, it will replace any existing label.
Filtering and Sorting
Once your items are organized, you can use filters and sorting to find what you need quickly.Filtering Your Inventory

From the Items list, tap the filter icon to access filtering options:
- Filter by location
- Filter by label
- Filter by value range
- Filter by date added
- Combine multiple filters
Saving Filters
Premium users can save frequently used filters:
- Set up your desired filters
- Tap “Save Filter” at the bottom
- Name your saved filter
- Access saved filters from the filter menu
Sorting Options
Tap the sort button to arrange items by:- Name (A-Z or Z-A)
- Date added (newest or oldest)
- Value (high to low or low to high)
- Label
- Location
Collections (Premium Feature)
Collections allow you to group items together for specific purposes without changing their locations.Creating a Collection
- Tap your profile icon
- Select “Collections”
- Tap ”+” to create a new collection
- Name your collection and add an optional description
- Tap “Save”
Adding Items to a Collection
- From the Items list, select one or more items
- Tap “Add to Collection”
- Choose the desired collection
- Tap “Add”
Items can belong to multiple collections simultaneously, making this feature flexible for various organizational needs.
