# Document Items with Video

> Use AI video analysis to scan an entire room and automatically detect items

AI video analysis lets you document a room's contents by recording a short video — MovingBox identifies every item automatically and presents them for your review. It's the fastest way to build an inventory for a new space.

<Note>
  Video analysis requires a **MovingBox Pro** subscription.
</Note>

## How It Works

1. Record a short video panning across a room
2. MovingBox extracts frames from the video and sends them to AI analysis
3. Every detected item is presented for your review
4. Keep the items you want, skip the rest
5. Kept items are added directly to your inventory

## Recording a Video

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Add Item screen">
    Tap the **+** button in the app to open the item capture interface.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Switch to Video mode">
    Select the **Video** tab at the top of the capture screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Record your video">
    Pan slowly across the room, making sure each item is clearly visible for at least a moment. Aim for 10–30 seconds per room.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit for analysis">
    Tap **Done** when finished recording. MovingBox will process your video and extract item detections.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Reviewing Detected Items

After analysis completes, you'll see a list of detected items with AI-generated details for each one.

* **Keep** — Adds the item to your inventory
* **Skip** — Dismisses the item without adding it

You can edit any item's details before or after saving.

You can also import a video you've already recorded from your camera roll.

## Storage & Privacy

Video files are used only for frame extraction during analysis. They are not stored on MovingBox servers. Extracted frames are processed and immediately deleted — the same privacy model as photo analysis.

If you save a video to your camera roll before importing, it remains in your Photos library under your control.
